Monster Birthday

Hello Friends,
Today's card is one I made to celebrate my nephew's birthday. A little over a year ago he chose this stamp set as a set he would like to play with. I promised him that I would use mine and make several different types of cards with it so he could see how versatile this set really is. If you browse through my past posts and find December 2011 you will find the cute pop up Christmas card that I made him. In the next couple of days I will be posting several other monster cards that I made. I even made a couple in a girl theme because monsters can be for boys or girls.

Anyway, this is called a tunnel card. They are so much fun because when you open them up you get a sweet surprise and they look great standing open on a desk or shelf.

Flowers for Friends

Hello Friends,

Today's card is one that I re-created from a card I saw on Pinterest! I really love that website. I love this design because I got a chance to spend time coloring which is one of my very favorite activities. Did you know:

Definition: Art therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses the creative process of making art to improve a person’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The creative process involved in expressing one’s self artistically can help people to resolve issues as well as develop and manage their behaviors and feelings, reduce stress, and improve self-esteem and awareness.
Anyone can use it, you don’t need to be talented or an artist, and there are professionals that can work with you and delve into the underlying messages communicated through art.

Anyway, after I relieved some stress by coloring I cut out my pieces, layered some paper, added a little ribbon and a mini tag and Viola my card is complete!! Hope you like it.

Pretty Princess

Hello Friends,
Today's card I am dedicating to my beautiful twin girls, Casandra and Marissa. They are the most precious little girls and they bring a sparkle to my life every single day! Every day I tell them that they are pretty princesses and I love to hear them run and tell Daddy, "I'm a pretty princess". So I wanted to make a card that I could give to them that was extra special. This card is dressed up with vellum, pearls, and ribbons.I hope it inspires you to make one for that special little girl in your lives! Have a wonderful day!

Monkey Business

Hello Friends,
Today's card is a waterfall card. I wanted to make this little monkey doing somersaults for someone's birthday. I think it would be such a cute kids birthday card. When I am ready to give this card away, I plan on stamping, "Look Who's Turning..." on the first page and at the end of the somersault have the last monkey holding the number of the birthday child. I have included pictures of the front of the card and the inside and just so you can see how it works I have included a little video. I hope you love this card as much as I do!
